Minimal changes to the starting XI are expected to occur, but let's take a look at who the Argentine could put his trust in from the off.

1 GK – Dorde Petrovic

With Robert Sanchez still out injured, Dorde Petrovic will continue in between the sticks for the 14th consecutive game.

2 RB – Malo Gusto

Malo Gusto has been a liability at times in defence this season, as highlighted by the penalty he conceded versus Wolves.

However, he showed his quality going forward against Aston Villa as he picked up an assist.

3 CB – Axel Disasi

The French defender scored an own goal last weekend, but he will start once again.

Axel Disasi has been one of the most reliable defenders for Pochettino, starting 21 games in the league already.

39-year-old Thiago Silva will return to the side on Monday.

Manchester United suffered their tenth Premier League defeat of the season on Saturday evening against Fulham.

The match ended 2-1 for the visitors, as they picked up just their second away win of the entire season courtesy of a last-gasp effort from Alex Iwobi that simply stunned the Old Trafford faitfhul.

The Dutch boss has called upon Scott McTominay countless times already this season to scrape a goal and even three points at times.

In an attempt to bolster the attack, McTominay replaced Omari Forson – who was making his first start – just eight minutes after the break. However, he wasn’t exactly able to repeat his previous heroics.

Over the 46 minutes that he was on the field, the midfielder had a dismal 56% pass accuracy, 0.07 expected goals and assists, and just one shot, which should have been pulled back for one of the United players queuing up.

McTominay offered nothing yesterday, but there was one player who had a late cameo that should have been on the pitch much earlier, if not from the first minute.

Amad Diallo’s game versus Fulham in numbers

With the view of salvaging anything from the game, Ten Hag threw Amad Diallo onto the field in the 80th minute for Kobbie Mainoo, but the 21-year-old may just have been able to inspire his side to victory if he had been trusted to come on earlier instead of McTominay.

Instantly, the “top-class” winger, as he was previously described by scout Jacek Kulig, brought intensity to the field, showing the desire to get his team back in the contest.

Although he only played 19 minutes total, Diallo certainly did enough to make Ten Hag ponder including him in the starting XI against Nottingham Forest next week, and the table below shows a handful of his key statistics.

The Ivory Coast star was heavily involved in the play, boasting 22 touches, one more than McTominay, despite playing 27 fewer minutes. Diallo also showed great combination play, having an 81% pass accuracy rate, while attempting to provide a source of creativity through his dribbling.

The forward was also working extremely hard to regain control for his side in a vital part of the game, winning two tackles and three of his four ground duels.

To be honest, the former Sunderland star was handed an extremely difficult task to break down the Fulham low-block, which saw almost their full team camped in their own box, but he was instantly more influential than almost all of his teammates on the field.

Hong Kong cricketers Irfan Ahmed and Nadeem Ahmed have been banned from the game for life after the ICC found the two brothers guilty of trying to corrupt several matches, including those played during the 2016 World T20.Their team-mate Haseeb Amjad was penalised for spot-fixing and is serving a five-year ban. Seeing that all three of them were provisionally suspended on October 8, 2018, Amjad can potentially return in 2023.Irfan, 29, was an opening batsman. Nadeem, 31, was a left-arm spinner. And Amjad, 31, is a seam bowler. They were all charged by the ICC two years ago for “fixing” or trying to “influence” the result or progress of a match. Since they were all “experienced” cricketers, who had attended anti-corruption briefings and still chose to engage in these activities, the ICC came down hard on them.”This has been a long and complex investigation which has uncovered systematic attempts to influence moments in matches by experienced international cricketers over a period of time,” Alex Marshall, ICC general manager (Anti-Corruption Unit), said. “Their conduct was premeditated and sophisticated and each of the Ahmed brothers sought to corrupt others.”The main offences relate to the Hong Kong matches against Scotland and Canada [during the World Cup qualifiers in 2014] where the players fixed specific overs. These matches were won by Hong Kong, so it did not materially affect the results of the tournament, however I cannot reiterate strongly enough to any player considering this that we treat any form of fixing – spot or match – with the upmost seriousness.”Irfan was charged with nine breaches of the ICC’s anti-corruption code, including seeking, offering, accepting or agreeing to a bribe or reward to influence Hong Kong’s match against Zimbabwe in the 2014 World T20. Nadeem and he were charged for a similar offence in the 2016 World T20 as well.The ICC’s order, signed by Michael Beloff QC, read, “Both brothers appear to have made significant sums from their corrupt conduct. For example, the WhatsApp messages suggest that Irfan Ahmed was to be paid ’20k’ for a session, and that a windfall would arise from Hong Kong’s qualification for the ICC World Twenty20.” The tribunal also found evidence that the brothers “seemed to be living beyond their means… they are both paid around HK$11,000 per month by the Cricket board'” and concluded that “neither has to date shown any remorse for their conduct”.Amjad was found guilty of a “spot-fix he carried out” against Canada in 2014. The order said “it involved him conceding a very significant number of runs, early in the match, and therefore the outcome of the match could foreseeably have turned on the spot-fix.”The tribunal could not find any mitigating factors in the case of Irfan, who had previously been suspended for two-and-a-half years after he admitted to the ICC that he had breached the anti-corruption code. And although it noted that it knew of no prior offences committed by the other two, “in respect of Nadeem Ahmed in particular, the ICC submits, and the Tribunal further accepts, that that mitigating factor should be given no weight, or no effective weight, given the overall seriousness of his offending”.

O Centro Sportivo Alagoano encaminha sua classificação para próxima fase do campeonato alagoano. Nesta terça-feira, logo após o término da partida entre Flamengo e Unión La Calera, válida pela Libertadores, a gestão do Maracanã dará início ao processo de plantio das sementes de inverno no campo de jogo. De acordo com comunicado oficial da gestão do estádio, a medida visa melhorar as condições do gramado, que nos últimos seis dias recebeu uma sequência de quatro partidas e que, depois do jogo desta noite, terá uma coloração amarelada por um período aproximado de duas semanas.

O PROCESSO

Na operação será feita a remoção do excesso de material, diminuindo a densidade de grama bermuda (clima quente). Essa redução do material vegetativo em cortes sucessivos da grama, com maquinário específico, irá facilitar a germinação e o estabelecimento inicial da Reygrass (grama de inverno).

Serão lançados cerca de 500kg de semente, uma fina camada de areia e adubo granulado. Após a germinação das sementes, que ocorrerá de quatro a seis dias, começará a etapa de grow-in: por 14 dias são intensificados os procedimentos de adubações para nutrição da grama e um rápido desenvolvimento com cortes e outras operações para o fechamento do gramado.

Até o décimo quarto dia após a semeadura, com a possibilidade de três jogos oficiais neste período, a coloração do gramado terá uma mudança dia a dia. Entretanto, após 20 dias, esta diferença já não ser mais notada.

– Com este consórcio de gramas, pois nesta época do ano a bermuda tem um crescimento reduzido, o Maracanã conseguirá uma estabilidade melhor do seu gramado, proporcionando coloração e densidade desejadas para a sequência dos campeonatos – finaliza o comunicado.
