أوضح فابيو باراتيتشي، المدير الرياضي ليوفنتوس، موقف النادي من التعاقد مع الأوروجواياني لويس سواريز، مهاجم برشلونة، بعد ارتباط البيانكونيري بضمه لتعزيز الهجوم.

وصرّح باراتيتشي قبل انطلاق مباراة يوفنتوس وسامبدوريا، في الجولة الأولى للدوري الإيطالي: “يمكن حذف سواريز من قائمة المهاجمين الذين يسعى يوفنتوس للتعاقد معهم”.

وأضاف: “السبب هو أن الوقت الذي يستغرقه الحصول على جواز السفر الإيطالي أطول من الموعد النهائي لسوق الانتقالات أو اللحظة التي يمكننا فيها تسليم قوائم دوري أبطال أوروبا”.

وأكد باراتيتشي: “قمنا بتقييم خيار سواريز عندما تم اقتراحه علينا، كان بصدد الحصول على الجنسية الإيطالية، لذلك قمنا بتقييم إمكانية تسجيله في الوقت المناسب، وهذا غير ممكن، لذلك لم يكن قريبًا حقًا”.

وبشأن التعاقد مع إيدين دجيكو من روما، أوضح: “هو ليس موقف دجيكو فقط فنحن نحتاج الآن وننظر لمهاجم واحد فقط، يوفنتوس بحاجة إلى قلب هجوم، نحن نعرف ما نريد ونعمل من أجل ذلك بهدوء، هناك 15 يومًا على فترة الانتقالات ونحن لسنا في عجلة من أمرنا، هناك أسماء أخرى، ليس دجيكو فقط”.

By lining up with a 4-2-2-2 formation – something the 51-year-old Saints boss was surely working with his players on during the break in the Canary Islands – he could utilise the pace, pressing and never-say-die attitude of Obafemi and Shane Long to really put the hosts’ defence under pressure.

Arsenal have the players to hurt Southampton at the other end, so it makes sense to give them a big problem to think about in their weak spot.

With Redmond on one wing and potentially Stuart Armstrong on the other, they would have a better chance of sneaking a positive result.

Legendary Premier League goalkeeper Petr Cech will retire from professional football at the end of the season.

Cech has enjoyed a wonderful career in England with both Chelsea and most recently Arsenal. The former Czech Republic captain has been a fantastic servant for both clubs, operating at the very highest level. The 36-year-old holds the record for clean sheets in the Premier League as well as lifting four league titles and one Champions League crown.

His departure will be a massive blow to the Arsenal dressing room and leaves Unai Emery with a gap that needs to be filled. Adding competition to Bernd Leno in between the sticks will be one of the Spaniard’s top priorities in the summer transfer window. Reports in the Daily Mail suggest that the Gunners could make a move for Burnley’s Nick Pope.

Instead, Arsenal should be aiming higher and make a move for Fiorentina starlet – Alban Lafont. Valued at £11.7m by Transfermarkt, the 20-year-old was earmarked as a star for the future after progressing through the Toulouse youth academy. After breaking into the first-team, he was snapped up by the Italian side this summer, who paid £7m to lure the talented ‘keeper to the Serie A.

Lafont has performed well since making the move abroad, keeping seven clean sheets in the league so far. The France U20 international possesses excellent reflexes and his size allows him to pull off miraculous save. His vast amount of experience at such a young age is extremely rare and should make adapting to life in the Premier League much easier.

Developing and improving with every game, Lafont could prove to be a massive star at the Emirates.

Loads of Liverpool fans have been reacting to some comments from Manchester United legend Nemanja Vidic, who claims he would not take any Liverpool defender in Manchester United’s side.

Liverpool travel to Old Trafford on Sunday knowing a win over their arch-rivals will put them at the summit of the Premier League.

Manchester City will of course be playing in the Carabao Cup final, so this is a huge chance for the Reds to make a statement, and they are boosted by the return of Virgil van Dijk, who was suspended for the draw against Bayern Munich.

Vidic clearly doesn’t think the Dutch international’s presence will make all the difference though, claiming he wouldn’t feature in United’s side.

Speaking to Omnisport, as reported by GOAL.com, he said: “I think we have four solid defenders and with the right match I think they can perform to the best of their capabilities.

“Overall, I said even before when they didn’t have great games, if you look at the other teams, I would not have any defenders of Liverpool or Chelsea, I don’t think they have better defenders than we have.”

While Victor Lindelof has improved massively under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the Swedish international is usually partnered with inconsistent players like Eric Bailly or Chris Smalling.

On top of that, van Dijk is currently the front-runner for PFA Player of the Year and has perhaps been Europe’s best defender so far this season, so fans are understandably crucifying Vidic’s verdict.

Loads of Leeds fans have been reacting to their thumping win over West Brom, and they’re absolutely full of praise for Liam Cooper.

Like many Leeds players, Cooper took a lot of stick from the Elland Road faithful last season.

The skipper showed very little fight as the Whites slumped to a 13th-place finish, and the fact that he seemed to go into hiding or pick up a niggling injury every time the going got tough infuriated fans.

The skipper has well and truly showed he deserves to wear the armband this season though, and he was at his very best on Friday night.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side got in front right from the off courtesy of a wonderful goal from Pablo Hernandez just 16 seconds in, and a brace from Patrick Bamford and late tap-in for Gjanni Alioski rounded off the scoring.

While a 4-0 win is usually due to quality attacking play, Cooper and Pontus Jansson were superb in defence, as has so often been the case for the Whites this season.

27 year-old Cooper won three aerial duels, four tackles and four interceptions, and fans are heaping praise on his impressive turnaround under Bielsa.

What do Newcastle United need to do in order to get back among Premier League giants? Make big signings of course!

While the Magpies showed a lot of heart in their thrilling win over Everton recently, in which Rafa Benitez once again proved his ability to turn the Toon Army into a top-six side, heart isn’t enough. The need for quality is of paramount importance, Mr Mike Ashley.

Indeed, for the club to fight against those in the top positions, the Magpies need to sign top players themselves. They’re already looking to do so in the summer and according to reports (via ChronicleLive), United are scouting Roma’s wonderkid Nicolo Zaniolo.

The 19-year-old’s been their breakthrough star this season, dazzling everyone with his majestic ability out in the Italian capital and looks a cut above Newcastle United right now. Even the most ardent Geordie would struggle to disagree with that, though with the likes of Real Madrid also apparently interested, it’d be very hard to appeal to him.

Still, where’s the fun in that? Newcastle United need to be ambitious and, according to a report from the same source, the club are prepared to be in order to keep Benitez at the helm.

Zaniolo’s adapted himself to the brutal Serie A environment effortlessly, having scored three goals and assisted twice so far for Roma. An exciting young talent, Italy’s next great hope is an extremely skilful player full of surprises. His dribbling ability, tendency to score world-class goals and creativity can greatly add to Benitez’s side.

With big sides are on his tail, it’ll be a difficult task for Newcastle to sign him but Mike Ashley needs to show ambition in putting in a surmounting bid for the blooming Italian this summer and charge up his side with a future superstar.

Zaniolo can add swagger to the Magpies game, allowing them to play attacking football with a stunning rhythm. Not only can his link-up with Miguel Almiron and Ayoze Perez be a tantalising one, but a signing like Zaniolo’s can be a statement of intent detailing Newcastle’s future ambitions of getting back among the best.

وأفادت أن مسؤولي برشلونة يدرسون عقد فولهام حيث لم يستقروا على رأي حتى الآن، مع الأخذ في الاعتبار أن الميركاتو سينتهي بعد غد الإثنين.

وأشارت إلى أنه في حال موافقة برشلونة على رحيل توديبو، فإنه من المرجح أن يطالب بإدراج بند إعادة الشراء في عقده نظرًا لكونه لاعبًا واعدًا وما زال صغيرًا في السن.
