Manchester United look set for one of their most important summers in recent history, as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer embarks on a squad rebuild of sorts.

Big names are expected to come and go at Old Trafford, as the likes of Paul Pogba, Romelu Lukaku and Juan Mata all face uncertain futures, while the club are also thought to be keen to spend big to bring in the right talent to enhance the quality of the squad.

One of those names who has been mentioned is Benfica starlet Joao Felix, with the 19-year-old bursting onto the scene this season to huge effect over in Portugal.

Felix has only had his first season at top level competition this year, but he already looks the part – much like  a certain Cristiano Ronaldo showed United all those years ago in a pre-season friendly in Lisbon.

Sometimes a player comes along who you simply cannot afford to pass up on, and Joao Felix falls right into this category for United.

The teenager is a class act, and his 13 goals this season from attacking midfield show just what a talent he is and could be in the future.

With the United squad in such need of rebuilding, Felix is exactly the sort of player the club need to be targeting if they are indeed eyeing up the foreign market. His speed with the ball, ability to find the back of the net and creative spark are all things which would fit in well with the core of United’s squad, and you can see a big partnership developing between Felix and Marcus Rashford.

At such an important time for the club, money should not be an object, and United must do all they can to snap up the forward ahead of their European rivals.

وأكمل: “يوفنتوس لم يلعب في آخر 20 دقيقة، كنا الأفضل ونحن نلعب بدون ثلاثة من نجومنا، إسموبيلي وستراكوشا وليفا”.

وغاب ثلاثي لاتسيو عن المباراة، بسبب الإصابة بـ فيروس كورونا.

Charlton Athletic manager Lee Bowyer was announced as the League One Manager of the Month for April on Friday, but rather than be happy some Addicks fans are concerned about the news.

Five wins and one defeat throughout the month saw the 42-year-old beat his peers to the award, with the south London club guaranteed a play-off spot.

In fact, they could still finish third should results go their way on Saturday, with Sunderland only ahead of them on goal difference and Portsmouth two points ahead.

While it is a great accolade for their boss and sums up what a great job he is doing in difficult circumstances at The Valley, not every supporter is pleased with the news.

The Manager of the Month award has long been associated with a curse once an individual has won it, and that is obviously not a great potential omen ahead of Charlton’s play-off campaign where they will hope to return to the Championship.

وعن إجراءات الإغلاق في بعض دول أوروبا، أردف نصر: “ذلك الإغلاق لا يمنع اللعب داخل البلد نفسها، تصفيات بطولة أمم أوروبا المقامة حاليًا تقام بين المنتخبات، ولو ظهرت أي إصابات خلالها يتم تأجيل المباراة وعزل اللاعب فقط لكن الرياضة مستمرة، ونتمنى ألا يتفاقم الوضع وأن نصل لبطولة العالم في وضع هادئ”

وواصل: “وضع الملاعب مطمئن للغاية، يمكن أن نخبر الاتحاد الدولي لكرة اليد أمس أن ملاعبنا جاهزة، يتبقى فقط فرش الأرضيات، ونعمل الآن على تطوير ملاعب التدريب”، وشدد أنه سيتم الانتهاء من هذا الأمر بنهاية الشهر المقبل”.

It’s safe to say when Andy Robertson joined Liverpool, nobody expected the defender to become this good.

The Scotsman signed for the Reds following relegation with Hull City in the summer of 2017, and two years later it’s not crazy to suggest that Robertson is one of the best left-backs in world football.

Robertson has been a revelation in Merseyside and has made Liverpool fans forget about the years of having Alberto Moreno as a starting player for the club, and with a Premier League title decider fast approaching and a second Champions League final on the horizon, the former Hull man will have to bring his A game for the remaining two fixtures.

But, after limping off in the semi-final against Barcelona, Robertson could find himself on the bench or even in the stands as their vital clash with Wolves may come too soon, according to Telegraph.

It would be disastrous if he isn’t fit enough to take part.

Robertson has made the fifth most appearances out of any player in the Liverpool team this season and has been a mainstay in both the Premier League and Champions League runs, and losing a player of that importance ahead of Jurgen Klopp’s biggest game of the season will be a massive loss.

No Robertson means James Milner will have to come in for the Scottish international, which could see Liverpool lose a major threat down the left wing, and with potentially no Mohamed Salah or Roberto Firmino for the game against Wolves as well, it could be hard for the Reds to find goals.

صحيفة “مانشستر إيفنينج” الإنجليزية، نقلت تصريحات ريتشارد ماستر، حيث قال: “فيروس كورونا أثار العديد من القضايا، منها قضية الخمسة تبديلات”.

وأضاف: “ما جعلنا نسمح بـ 5 تغييرات في الموسم الماضي، لأننا كنا سنلعب 92 مباراة في وقت قصير جدًا، وكانت هناك فترة راحة طويلة بسبب الوباء”.

وأكمل: “كان هناك سبب لاستمرار ذلك في معظم الدوريات، لكن في الدوري الإنجليزي هناك ما يجب طرحه، بأن خمسة تغييرات تغيّر التوازن التنافسي”.

وشدد: “5 تغييرات في المباراة لن تكون مفيدة لكل الفرق، لن يكون هناك تكافؤ بين الفرق، وأعتقد أن هذه الحجة مناسبة تمامًا، وأكثر توازنًا”.

It has been a roller-coaster of a year to be a Sheffield Wednesday supporter hasn’t it?

After experiencing a truly awful start to the season, the Hillsborough faithful must have been fearing a possible relegation battle in the Championship.

Yet following Dejphon Chansiri’s decision to replace Jos Luhukay with Steve Bruce in January, Wednesday’s fortunes where completely transformed as they embarked on a 12 game unbeaten run in the second tier that had fans dreaming of an appearance in the play-offs.

Although the club would eventually finish 12th in the standings, it is clear that the former Aston Villa boss has brought an air of positivity with him to South Yorkshire and so there is no reason why the Owls cannot launch a sustained push for promotion next season.

However, in order to create the foundations needed to succeed over the coming years, Bruce will need to bolster his squad this summer in a number of positions.

According to Football Insider, one of the players who the 58-year-old is reportedly interested in signing when the transfer window opens in July is Moses Odubajo. Available on a free transfer after being released by Brentford earlier this month, the right-back would undoubtedly be an upgrade on Liam Palmer who experienced an inconsistent 2018/19 campaign at Hillsborough.

Having previously experienced promotion under Bruce three years ago at Hull City, Odubajo could benefit from a reunion with his former boss as by joining Wednesday, he could provide the club with an attacking threat from defence that would work in tandem with Dominic Iorfa.

If the £900k-rated ace (via Transfermarkt) can build a fruitful partnership with the former Wolverhampton Wanderers player, they could take the Championship by storm next year.

كشفت تقارير صحفية عن وجود عاملين مهمين قد يمثلان أساس رحيل نجم فريق برشلونة ليونيل ميسي إلى صفوف فريق مانشستر سيتي، في العام المقبل.

وكان ميسي قد أبلغ إدارة برشلونة، في وقت سابق من موسم الانتقالات الصيفي لهذا العام، برغبته في الرحيل عن الكامب نو.

وارتبط النجم الأرجنتيني نتيجة لذلك بأكثر من نادِ، وعلى رأسها مانشستر سيتي، ولكنه ظل في النهاية مع برشلونة حيث قرر البقاء هذا الموسم.

ومع ذلك، فإن التكهنات حول مستقبل ميسي لم تتوقف حيث أن عقده الحالي سينتهي في صيف 2021 ولا يوجد اتفاق حول تجديد عقده.

وذكرت تقارير سابقة أن مانشستر سيتي ما زال لديه رغبة في الحصول على خدمات ليونيل ميسي في العام القادم.

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane is “certain” he will be fit to play in the Champions League final, according to the London Evening Standard.

What’s the word?

The England captain sustained ligament damage in the first leg of the quarter-final clash with Manchester City and subsequently missed the crazy return leg, as well as the two-legged triumph over Ajax.

However, the Standard now claim that he is “very confident” he will be included in Mauricio Pochettino’s squad for the final against Liverpool on June 1.

The 25-year-old, who has scored 24 goals in 39 outings in all competitions this season, has not played since April, however, and it remains to be seen if Pochettino will pick him in his starting XI.

Indeed, Lucas Moura scored a hat-trick in Amsterdam to send Spurs to the final and it would perhaps be harsh to drop the Brazil international to the bench on account of Kane’s return.

The injured forward was at the game in the Netherlands and, per the report, gave a stirring half-time speech to his team-mates, with the score at 3-0 on aggregate.

Lucas’ hat-trick, which was completed in the final minute of injury-time, prompted wild celebrations, with Kane actually sprinting onto the pitch to celebrate at full-time.

Leave him out

Spurs can’t afford to risk another Atletico Madrid situation here.

In 2014, Atletico played city rivals Real in the Champions League final and started Diego Costa up front despite his ongoing fitness issues.

He was substituted in the ninth minute after aggravating a hamstring problem; Spurs can ill-afford to do the same with Kane.

He has not played a single minute of football in over two months and it would be prudent for Pochettino to leave him on the bench.

The prospect of the 25-year-old coming on in the second half, with the game finely poised, could precipitate a change in momentum and swing the game towards Spurs.

They have relied on the pace and intricacy of Lucas and Son Heung-Min in recent rounds; they should do the same in the final, with Kane playing the role of wildcard.
