أجرت بعثة منتخب مصر الأول لكرة القدم بقيادة حسام البدري المدير الفني، المسحة الطبية للكشف المبكر عن فيروس “كورونا المستجد” فور تجمعهم بمقر فندق الاقامة، وذلك تحت إشراف الدكتور محمد أبوالعلا.

وخضع جميع أفراد البعثة والتي يترأسها المهندس أحمد مجاهد للمسحة وتحاليل الدم للاطمئنان على سلامة الجميع قبل بدء أول مران للفريق مساء اليوم بإستاد القاهرة الدولي.

وحضر جميع لاعبي منتخب مصر إلى المسحة الطبية، فيما عدا الرباعي أحمد حجازي ومحمد صلاح ومحمد النني وتريزيجه، بسبب عدم وصولهم إلى المعسكر حتى الآن.

ويستعد منتخبنا لمواجهة منتخبي كينيا وجزر القمر يومي 25 و29 الشهر الجاري في ختام التصفيات المؤهلة لنهائيات كأس الأمم الأفريقية بالكاميرون.

وينطلق المران في تمام السادسة مساء على استاد القاهرة الدولي استعدادا لمواجهة منتخبي كينيا وجزر القمر في ختام التصفيات المؤهلة لكأس الأمم الأفريقية بالكاميرون.

وتحدث أولونجا عن استدعاءه لمنتخب كينيا في بداية حواره مع شبكة “جول” الإفريقية، وقال: “أشعر بالسعادة بالعودة إلى الوطن وأنت تعلم أن استدعائي للعب لمنتخب كينيا لهو شرف كبير لا يمكن لأي لاعب رفضه ويمنحك دافعًا كبيرًا وأتطلع للمشاركة ومساعدة الفريق في تحقيق أهدافه”.

وأضاف: “نحن نعلم أهمية مباراتي مصر وتوجو، لقد واجهناهما من قبل وتعادلنا في كلتا المباراتين، لكن أعتقد الآن الوضع مختلف لأننا سنواجه الفراعنة على أرضنا وسنسافر لمقابلة توجو خارج الديار”.

وتابع: “علينا أن نتبع أسلوب مختلف عن المباراتين الماضيتين إذا أردنا الفوز، نحتاج إلى أن نكون أكثر حماسًا ونقدم أداءً أفضل من الجولات السابقة في المجموعة”.

وواصل: “نعلم جميعًا موقعنا في المجموعة وما نحتاج إلى القيام به أمام مصر وكينيا، لذلك يجب أن نبذل قصارى جهدنا للفوز بما تبقى من مباريات، في الواقع، التركيز الآن على مواجهة مصر التي ستحدد بشكل كبير كيف سنتعامل مع مباراة توجو في لومي”.

الجدير بالذكر أن أولونجا هو من سجل هدف كينيا في تعادلها أمام مصر في ملعب “برج العرب” بالجولة الأولى في نوفمبر 2019.

It may not feel like it, but it is now seven games unbeaten for Arsenal.

That run started off with draws against Watford and Tottenham, but since then, they won four of their last five, although a dour 1-1 draw at Old Trafford has slightly taken the shine off that run.

Their latest victory came at home against Standard Liege, with the Gunners running out 4-0 winners.

Dani Ceballos was one of those to get himself on the scoresheet. It also coincided with the 23-year-old’s return to the starting line-up after being selected for the previous two fixtures on the bench.

The Spain international put in a fantastic display and it is something that Unai Emery will want to see a lot more of as the season progresses.

Of course, the opposition in front of the Emirates outfit were not exactly top-quality, but you can only beat what’s in front of you, and Ceballos played a big part in his side’s triumph.

He was at the heart of most of the team’s play throughout the night.

No one else came close to his 126 touches of the ball – Kieran Tierney had the next most with 96 – whilst he also managed to land 93.9% of his attempted passes. He also created four chances, which was double the number any of his teammates were able to muster.

He was also adept in taking on his man as well, completing 66.67% of the six dribbles he tried. All in all, it was an impressive display from the on-loan Real Madrid man.

The problem is, this display is an anomaly so far rather than the rule.

He started the campaign well, grabbing two assists against Burnley on what was his first start for the club, but in the seven games between then and this match against Liege, he failed to get on the scoresheet or give the final pass before a goal.

It even led to him losing his place in the starting line-up against the United, hence why he featured here.

Usually a creative force, Arsenal are going to need him to be far more consistent this term as they fight on four fronts. His time spent at Real indicates he can perform at the highest level.

It is now time for him to prove that week-in week-out in north London.

Whether or not Andrea Radrizzani will sell a slice of his stake at Leeds has been a topic doing the rounds for what feels like an eternity.

The Italian businessman hit back in February, suggesting that the idea of a total sale was nonsense.

However, the fact he could be open to more investment further down the line hasn’t been ruled out and that’s clear for all to see judging by his latest comments.

Whether or not you’re a fan of the Qatar Sports Investment who own European heavyweights PSG, it’s hard to deny their funding couldn’t help take Leeds further up the pyramid in England.

Their financial might has been colossal in the French capital, helping them to buy players like Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.

They’ve won multiple titles in what has been one of the greatest periods in their history, and it’s all primarily come as a result of QSI’s funding.

Supporters seem divided on what the future would hold if they arrived in west Yorkshire in a story lingering around Elland Road since June.

L’Equipe initially reported that discussions could take place between Nesser al-Khelaifi and the Leeds board but nothing seemed to materialise.

However, the potential of mass investment further down the line could soon become a reality. Telling The Times, Radrizzani said the following about future buyers:

“The option of Qatar Sports Investment and Nasser — first of all they are friends, we have had a good relationship for a long time. Secondly, they have the possibility to bring this club to compete with Manchester City, so for the fans that could be a fantastic opportunity.”

The fact Leeds could be on par with a club like Manchester City is quite the statement but it’s hard to deny just what added financial firepower can bring to a club.

After all, the way PSG’s revenue has spiralled in a positive fashion is quite frankly breathtaking.

Before QSI took over, their total revenue from the 2010/11 season stood at €101m (£88.7m at the time of writing). Once they’d been in control for a season, that went up to €221m (£194.2m).

But the biggest sign of just how far PSG have come under their Qatari owners is the €542m (£476.3m) they brought in from the 2017/18 season.

Considering that number, is it really any surprise the Ligue 1 side have done so well? Probably not.

It’s investment and revenue that shows just how Leeds could place themselves back on the map, competing among the big boys of English football again.

The club have been stuck in the doldrums of Championship football for a while and not since 2000/01 have they been in the Champions League.

Investment has been made from Radrizzani but added help from a company as rich as QSI could finally be the catalyst they need to get back into the Premier League and consequently compete for European places as well.

It’s a long way off, but it’s not beyond the realms of fantasy. Just look at how Wolves have now placed themselves in the Europa League.

Having played the full 90 minutes for the first time this season against AZ Alkmaar in the Europa League, Brandon Williams must have thoughts of establishing himself as a first-team regular under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The 19-year-old produced an assured display against the Dutch side, leading to the United boss to hail his performance as “top notch” and one of the better full debuts he had seen.

Now, Williams has appeared to take that form and confidence into international duty with England’s U20s side, and in a clip on social media, really showcased a facet of his game that hasn’t really been seen to date in a United shirt.

The full-back is captured going off on an incredibly skilful run, showing impressive dribbling and technique for someone who is supposed to be a defender.

After seeing the footage, United fans flooded to Twitter to voice their thoughts on the teenager’s act of brilliance.

Many supporters of the Manchester side hailed academy product, and insisted he is already far better than some of the club’s existing options at left-back like Luke Shaw and Ashley Young.

You’d think after the start the team have made this season that he’d be able to relax a little bit more.

Sabri Lamouchi has masterminded a near-perfect start to the season for Nottingham Forest, barring the slight blip during his first game against West Bromwich Albion.

Despite all that though, it appears as though his first aim as Forest boss is to make sure that he is still in the dugout at the City Ground at this time next season.

Speaking to Sporting Life, Lamouchi noted the high turnover of managers at Forest and how he isn’t trying to get ahead of himself when it comes to what he can achieve:

“The last five years, they have changed 11 managers here. The last one to do a full season it was close to ten years ago. I just want to make one season, one full season, and we will see where we finish. It just needs stability. I am not a magician. I am just a manager.”

Whilst it is good to see that Lamouchi isn’t coming across as arrogant in what he’s saying, very much the polar opposite of Jose Mourinho when he first came to England, you wonder if perhaps he is being too cautious.

It’s all about getting the balance right, but at the same time if consider the start that Forest have had, if all he is aiming for is stability, then it essentially means that he’s not 100% focused on promotion to the Premier League.

That’s something that stands to be a real possibility for Forest this term too.

Perhaps he’s not really telling us his true feelings and is trying to be ‘diplomatic’ with how he comes across, but is that really being honest with the fans if that’s his response.

If you are setting your expectations that low, why should they get excited by what you’re offering?

It’s one of the oldest motivational sayings in the book, but it applies here. “Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars.”

He doesn’t have to go promising that they’ll go the rest of the season unbeaten, but if his main concern is just staying in the job, he could himself out of it if things start to go wrong.

As he said, there’s a high turnover rate at the City Ground, so the owners won’t be hesitant to make a change.
