Everton fans have been embroiled in another debate this week after Wednesday marked the three-year anniversary of the club signing centre-back Michael Keane.

The Toffees landed the defender in a then club-record-equalling £30m from Premier League rivals Burnley.

But it seems as if the Englishman divides opinion at Goodison Park.

The 27-year-old has become a regular for the Toffees ever since his move, featuring in a total of 98 matches, whilst this season he’s been first-choice centre-back having racked up 25 appearances in all competitions, via Transfermarkt.

Despite being trusted by current boss Carlo Ancelotti, there are many fans who simply do not rate Keane.

One member of the Toffees faithful believes he has been one of the worst signings he’s ever seen at the club whilst others described him as “bang average”.

There was even a shout to sell him – Transfermarkt currently value him at £18m, which is a whopping £12m decrease on what Everton originally paid.

Further supporters referenced Keane’s partnership with former loan star Kurt Zouma as a big positive, and that he’s a bit more consistent than Yerry Mina, but admittedly, he could do with a regular partner to gel with in Ancelotti’s backline.

With Keane under contract at Goodison Park for at least another two seasons, it gives him plenty of time to live up to that big-money pricetag and prove that he is indeed a “scapegoat” for some fans.

وطمأنت الصحيفة الجماهير بأن هناك العديد من الخيارات أمام برشلونة لاختيار الراعي الجديد، على الرغم من أن رحيل ليونيل ميسي سيؤثر بالتأكيد على إيجاد العرض المالي المطلوب.

سيعمل مجلس الإدارة بقيادة خوان لابورتا، على إيجاد أيضًا راعي جديد لذراع القميص خاصة وأن شركة Beko قد انتهى عقدها مع برشلونة ويحتاج الملعب إلى راعٍ هو الآخر.

Leroy Sane might not have played for Manchester City’s first team for more than 10 months but his name has rarely been far from the headlines in recent weeks and months.

The German winger has yet to feature in the 2019/20 Premier League after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament in the Community Shield against Liverpool last August, although he should be available for Wednesday night’s clash against Arsenal having recovered from that huge setback (as per Sky Sports).

While neither Sane nor his Etihad Stadium team-mates were in action over the last three months, the 24-year-old was regularly in the news amid ongoing speculation linking him with a summer move to Bayern Munich. The Bundesliga champions continue to focus their transfer efforts on trying to sign the Manchester City winger, according to the Daily Mail at the weekend.

Sane actually made a tentative comeback for the under-23 side in a Premier League 2 game against their Arsenal counterparts at the end of February, although he didn’t get the chance to return to first team action before the season was halted three months ago as the coronavirus pandemic swept across the UK.

The contribution of 30 goals over the previous two seasons shows that the German can be a hugely effective presence in Manchester City’s attack, while goals from his preferred left flank were proving hard to come by before the season’s enforced stoppage as Raheem Sterling had not found the net in the first two months of 2020.

It remains to be seen whether Sane will be rusty upon his comeback, having gone so long without playing a competitive first team fixture. However, the 24-year-old has a happy record against Wednesday night’s opponents. He has won five of his previous seven games against Arsenal, with three goals in those fixtures, while Liverpool are the only club against whom he has found the net more often during his professional career.

The continuation of that fine record against the Gunners this week would be the perfect way for Sane to lay the ghosts of his injury anguish and make headlines for what he has done on the pitch rather than what others are speculating about his future off it.

وعن المنافسة بين نافاس ودوناروما، قال: “كل مباراة تقرر من سيكون حارس فريقنا خلالها، الحقيقة أن وجود حراس مثل نافاس وجيجيو يرفع مستوى المنافسة، وهذا أمر جيد للنادي، الجميع يعلم الوضع في باريس سان جيرمان، والأمر يعود لي لاتخاذ القرار”.

Tottenham might have halted a run of three home defeats on the bounce, but it was a familiar story for Jose Mourinho’s side as they were held in their Premier League comeback against Manchester United on Friday.

It was described as a ‘must-win’ game given Spurs’ position in the table and their need for Champions League football, but Bruno Fernandes’ second-half penalty denied Mourinho a victory against his former side, a result which leaves them six points adrift of fourth-place Chelsea.

Initially, it started well for the hosts after January signing Steven Bergwijn got the better of both Harry Maguire and David De Gea before thumping home his third goal in as many Premier League games at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, but Fernandes’ late effort keeps United four points above Tottenham in the standings.

Despite being pegged back, there were plenty of positives for Mourinho, but according to a number of Spurs fans on Twitter, the man that created Bergwijn’s opener, Serge Aurier, wasn’t one of them.

The Ivory Coast defender’s assist was his fifth of the campaign in all competitions, but it’s at the other end of the pitch where Aurier often receives stick. And although it might have been Eric Dier’s clumsiness that led to United’s equaliser on this occasion, plenty of the Tottenham faithful, as well as neutrals, were less than impressed with the right-back’s performance against the Red Devils.

Para o grupo, os gramados sintéticos superam os naturais em condições desfavoráveis para a prática esportiva no país, que ainda não conta com uma padronização nacional capaz de mitigar o problema.

No comunicado, os clubes ressaltam que não há estudos que comprovem aumento de lesões provocado pelo uso do gramado sintético no futebol. Para eles, o debate é “legítimo e necessário”, mas deve ser conduzido de forma técnica e não por “narrativas que distorcem a realidade”.

A manifestação pública ocorre dias depois de o Flamengo protocolar na CBF uma proposta contra o material e sugerir um período de transição para que todos os clubes do Brasil atuem com gramado natural a partir de 2028.

Em primeiro lugar, é imprescindível reconhecer que não existe padronização de gramados no Brasil. Ignorar esse fato e direcionar críticas exclusivamente aos gramados sintéticos reduz um debate complexo a uma narrativa simplificada, injusta e tecnicamente equivocada.

Também reiteramos que um gramado sintético de alta performance supera, em diversos aspectos, os campos naturais em más condições presentes em parte significativa dos estádios do país.

É igualmente importante esclarecer que não há qualquer estudo científico conclusivo que comprove aumento de lesões provocado pelos gramados sintéticos modernos.

O tema da qualidade dos gramados é legítimo, saudável e necessário. Porém, deve ser conduzido com responsabilidade, dados objetivos e conhecimento técnico, e não com narrativas que distorcem a realidade, desinformam o público e desconsideram a complexidade do assunto”.

Newcastle United have reportedly requested to sign Patrik Schick as Il Sussi Dario (via The Shields Gazette) claim that the Tyneside club are ready to revisit their interest in signing him in the upcoming summer transfer window, having failed with a previous move in January.

As per the outlet, the striker is said to be made available for a transfer by AS Roma having spent time on loan at RB Leipzig in the 19/20 season.

On the other hand, Joelinton has had quite the opposite campaign since arriving for a club-record £39.6 million from TSG Hoffenheim, but he has arguably far from lived up to his big price tag.

The 23-year old has only managed to score four goals and made four assists in 42 matches in all competitions since his arrival in the North East (via Transfermarkt).

Schick has also topped the Brazilian in other key stats for a centre-forward in their respective domestic leagues in this term, averaging more shots and key passes per match (per Whoscored).

Indeed, the Tyneside club may wish to cut their losses on Joelinton, who may still have a relatively high re-sale value being only 23 years of age and the fact that he does play up top.

This may be an added incentive if Schick could potentially come in to replace him, giving Steve Bruce a possible headache for when the window opens.

Nevertheless, everything is only speculation at this point, but the potential arrival of the Czech Republic international could well mean the end for Joelinton after his rather poor season.

أعلن حسين ياسر المحمدي نجم الزمالك والأهلي السابق، عن طرح قميص الفارس الأبيض الخاص به منذ موسم 2010 – 2011، في مزاد علني من أجل تدعيم القلعة البيضاء في أزمتها المادية التي تمر بها.

وكان حسين لبيب رئيس الزمالك قد صرح بأن الأمور المالية في القلعة البيضاء ليست على ما يرام، مُطالبا من كل مُشجع أن يتبرع بمبلغ مائة جنية لتدعيم النادي. (طالع تصريحات رئيس الزمالك من هنـــا)

ومن جانبه، قال حسين ياسر المحمدي خلال فيديو عبر صفحته الرسمية بمواقع التواصل الاجتماعي “فيس بوك”: “البعض كان يشكك في حبي ودعمي لناد الزمالك، ويقولون لي لماذا لم تتبرع للنادي، وأنا أحببت أن أثبت أنني رجل أفعال وليس أقوال، وأنني لا أتأخر عن مساندة الكيان الأبيض”.

وتابع: “انا لن أتأخر عن الزمالك الذي كان سببا في شعوري بحب الجماهير العظيمة لي، وعودوا إلى الصحافة وقت أزمتي مع النادي، أنا جئت إلى مصر من أجل تأجيل تنفيذ حكم الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم ضد النادي بشأن مستحقاتي، وتنازلت عن مبلغ كبير حتى لا يتم إلحاق الضرر بالقلعة البيضاء”.

وأضاف: “قررت اليوم أن أتقدم بالمساعدة بشئ بسيط، ولكنه أغلى ما أملك، لأن حبي لنادي الزمالك رغم أنني دائما خارج مصر وبعيد ولكنه في قلبي، فقررت أن أعرض قميصي الخاص بنادي الزمالك موسم 2010-2011 في مزاد علني والمبلغ الذي سوف يصلني منه سأتبرع به للنادي ردا على كل من شككوا في حبي للزمالك”.

وواصل: “أتحدى كل نجوم الزمالك القدامى لو استطاعوا أن يساعدوا بهذه الطريقة، لأن جماهير الزمالك ستحب فكرة الحصول على هذه القمصان، وسأسلم القميص للفائز بنفسي”.

O técnico Muricy Ramalho voltou a comentar, na terça-feira, de que o clube ainda busca um defensor. O treinador indicou que o rodízio de jogadores e o temor por desfalques, provocados por lesões e cartões, são fatores determinantes na busca por este reforço.

Em meio à busca por este zagueiro, o Flamengo discute a tentativa de renovação com César Martins. O defensor é apenas reserva no atual elenco, mas tem atuado com relativa frequência. Ele pertence ao Benfica (POR), mas tem vínculo com o Rubro-Negro somente até o mês de julho. O técnico Muricy Ramalho contou, recentemente, que iria pedir a renovação do atleta, mas o caso não é tão simples.

Além de César Martins e os titulares Wallace e Juan, Muricy conta no elenco com outros defensores. O trio formado por Léo Duarte, Rafael Dumas e Antônio Carlos jogou muito pouco neste ano. Os dois primeiros são formados nas categorias de base do clube e foram promovidos nesta temporada. Já o terceiro foi contratado para reforçar o elenco. A ideia era utilizar este defensor no Carioca, mas, como o clube foi obrigado a escalar titulares na competição, não foi possível.

O zagueiro Wallace não é unanimidade entre os torcedores, mas tem muita moral no elenco. Ele é o capitão da equipe rubro-negra e também um dos líderes do grupo.
