His return will be very well received by the fans who have been eager to see him in action since he made his debut against Chelsea. It’s come at the perfect time too, as Jurgen Klopp’s men will be looking to amends for their humiliating 7-2 thrashing against Aston Villa.

After tallying an impressive 31 goals and 37 assists during his time with Bayern Munich, he could be the driving force in the Liverpool’s midfield to catch an in form Everton off-guard. As it stands, the Blues are ahead by three points having started the season perfectly. They currently top the Premier League table and would love nothing more than to extend their lead with a win over their Merseyside rivals.

With Sadio Mane out of action and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain injured, Liverpool need as much creativity as they can get to grab goals at Goodison Park. Everton have scored 12 goals so far, averaging three per game. The Reds will need to be in their top attacking form to get themselves on the front foot – Thiago could be the answer to this.

With the Spaniard’s driving force in midfield protected by Fabinho just behind, Liverpool will have a much better chance of snatching a result from their neighbours on Saturday.

O goleiro deu entrevista com lágrimas nos olhos após a confirmação do rebaixamento do Leão. Ele lamentou a falta de estrutura da equipe e o atraso de salários.

– É pedir desculpas. A gente lutou o ano todo, eles viram o que a gente sofreu lá. Quem foi lá, viu que nosso campo muitas vezes não tinha condições de jogo. A gente não tinha condições de trabalhar. Nosso campo de treino, por causa da chuva, ficava com lama na altura da canela. Muitas vezes trocava o local do treino em cima da hora. A gente colheu o que plantou. Muitas vezes a gente não entende o que acontece na vida, mas é levantar a cabeça, foi um grupo de guerreiros. Lutamos até o fim para deixar o clube na Série A. Recebemos o carinho de funcionários, torcedores, mas infelizmente no ano que vem o Avaí vai ter que jogar na Série B – acrescentou.

– Os clubes grandes estão muito endividados, imagine os pequenos. Muitas vezes o dinheiro de cota de televisão, é para pagar dívidas, processos. Não tem dinheiro para mexer no gramado, nessas coisas. Não conseguiu nem pagar salários em dia – completou Vagner.

Além de Prass, o Palmeiras conta hoje com Jailson e Fábio para a posição. O primeiro se recupera neste momento de uma cirurgia no tendão de aquiles.

Newcastle United manager Steve Bruce has thrown down the gauntlet to members of the Magpies’ squad, including Andy Carroll, who are set to see their contracts run out at the end of the season.

The Magpies have been busy trying to ensure the long-term futures of some of their most influential performers. Allan Saint-Maximin has joined the likes of Karl Darlow and Isaac Hayden in penning new contracts recently. However, there are still some players whose futures are uncertain.

Bruce lays down challenge to Andy Carroll and others

Bruce has already revealed that the Magpies are working on a new deal for Sean Longstaff, to add to Saint-Maximin’s recent six-year deal. It has now emerged that the Newcastle manager has challenged some players with one year left on their deals to earn a new contract with their performances, as per Chronicle Live.

The likes of Carroll, Dwight Gayle, Federico Fernandez and Ciaran Clark have all entered the final year of their current deals. Neither Clark nor Gayle have featured yet for the Magpies in the Premier League this season as the pair have both been suffered problems with injuries at the start of the campaign.

Carroll is entering the final year of his £75,000-a-week deal, as per Spotrac, and the forward has featured in three of Newcastle’s opening four matches, showing glimpses of his ability during the 2-0 opening day win at West Ham, while Bruce is fully aware of the qualities of Gayle, Fernandez and Clark.

Some players better placed to meet challenge than others

Bruce is right to challenge the four players to earn new deals rather than just handing them out. However, for Gayle in particular, it could be difficult to meet that challenge, given he is out injured at the moment and behind the in-form Callum Wilson in the pecking order. Carroll, who was once labelled as ‘devastating’ by Alan Shearer, has shown his worth at times, but questions remain over his fitness.

Clark also has questions to answer over his fitness, but he is a dependable defender when fully fit. Meanwhile, Fernandez has shown he has a lot to offer the Magpies, so probably is deserving of that new deal. It will be a very difficult decision to determine who should be given fresh terms.

Vitor Bueno, além da partida contra o Atlético-PR, havia disputado outras três sob o comando de Dorival Júnior. Em sua estreia, aliás, diante do Atlético-MG, Vitor deu uma assistência para Marquinhos Gabriel. Já Fernando Medeiros, tem apenas 19 anos e está nas categorias de base do Santos desde 2007, quando integrava a categoria sub-11 dos Meninos da Vila.

Leeds United’s first-team have been very exciting to follow this season, but their U23s outfit have arguably been just as interesting this term too.

The Whites signed many young talents this summer with the likes of Sam Greenwood, Cody Drameh and Joe Gelhardt joining the Elland Road outfit, but perhaps the most exciting player in that team joined last year.

Indeed, Stuart McKinstry looks like he’s ready to make in-roads towards a place in the first-team at Leeds and we can understand why.

Phil Hay has recently speculated that he’s close to the first-team picture at the club on a recent episode of The Next Big Thing podcast, saying:

“It’s development for him at the moment, but you’ll be noticing that quite a few younger players are starting to go out of Leeds on loan now.

“McKinstry’s still in the building and I think is most likely to stay in the building for now, and those that [Marcelo] Bielsa feels are closest to the first-team picture are the ones that he wants to stick around.”

You can understand why Bielsa wants to keep McKinstry close by, the winger has undergone a meteoric rise since joining Leeds last summer, quickly making the jump from U18s football to the U23s despite being just 16 at the beginning of the season.

He was an excellent addition to the U23s as well, netting two goals in seven appearances while working under Carlos Corberan last term.

McKinstry has just turned 18 and he’s already training with the first-team and impressing the manager while doing so, and it isn’t just Bielsa who has been impressed by what the Scot offers.

When McKinstry signed his new deal last year, Danny Mills described him as a ‘very talented’ player, and that is high praise from a former England international.

Of course, senior football is a massive step up, but it looks as though McKinstry is getting closer and closer to making his United debut and everyone close to the club can’t stop raving about him.

وضح نادي برشلونة المنافس في بطولة الدوري الإسباني مدى اقتراب المدير الفني لنادي السد القطري، تشافي هيرنانديز، من تدريب الفريق الأول لكرة القطري لتعويض رحيل، رونالد كومان.

وارتبط اسم تشافي بإمكانية تدريب برشلونة في الأيام الماضية بعد إقالة كومان عقب الخسارة أمام رايو فاييكانو يوم، الأربعاء الماضي، بنتيجة 1-0.

Com 26 anos, Chiquinho já atuou pelo Fluminense, em 2014. Na passagem pelo Tricolor, fez um gol, em 46 jogos. O tento foi justamente diante do Rubro-Negro, no Fla-Flu. No Santos, nesta temporada, o lateral-esquerdo atuou em 24 partidas, com um gol marcado também.

Crystal Palace have suffered from an inconsistent start to the season, but one player has stood out from the rest. And no, we’re not talking about Wilfried Zaha.

What’s the word?

That’s right folks, we’re talking about Crystal Palace left-back Tyrick Mitchell. According to the club’s website, Palace TV is launching an exclusive mini-documentary which will cover his career so far, giving fans a behind-the-scenes look into his daily life.

In spite of all of this, his contract is still set to expire in 2021. And Dan Cook has recently discussed the uncertainty surrounding his future at Selhurst Park on an episode of the HLTCO podcast, insisting “the vultures will begin to circle,” as quoted by This is Futbol. So, Palace chief Steve Parish must convince the academy graduate to sign a new contract at all costs.

Better than Wan-Bissaka?

Palace have produced a number of youngsters over the years that have gone on to achieve big things and it’s fair to say that the 21-year-old is a player who could fall into that bracket if they aren’t too careful.

Mitchell has made six appearances in the Premier League so far, whilst he has played in every single minute of the competition prior to his absence against Wolves, having broken into the first team towards the end of last season.

Per WhoScored, he is averaging a staggering 4 tackles and 2.3 clearances per game in the English top flight, via WhoScored. By comparison, Manchester United full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who is one year older than his countryman, has only managed 2.8 tackles in the Premier League so far, via WhoScored.

Whilst it would be a bit too much of a reach to suggest that Mitchell is a better player, it does seem as though the signs are already starting to show if these statistics are anything to go by.

Once lauded as an “excellent” player by Palace boss Roy Hodgson, Mitchell has been recently described as something akin to a “silent assassin” by his former U16s coach Anthony Hayes.

With the more experienced veteran Patrick van Aanholt only recently returning from a spell on the sidelines, the youngster has been the club’s first-choice left-back in recent weeks. And the £4.5m-rated ace must be rewarded with a new and improved deal, otherwise the Eagles may regret letting him leave for free if they cannot convince him to sign an extension.
