Ruben Dias produced a match-winning performance for Portugal in their 3-2 win against Croatia on Tuesday night, as he scored a brace to earn Fernando Santos’ side the victory.

The Manchester City man showed a striker’s instinct, much like teammate Sergio Aguero, to score his first goal for his country, as he stabbed home Ruben Semedo’s cut-back, before securing the win for Portugal by capitalising on a huge error by the Croatia goalkeeper in the dying moments.

So it was an all-round dominant display from the £45 million-rated man, which had shades of Kompany’s best performances in a City shirt, and Guardiola will now be hoping that the young defender can produce displays similar to that when he returns to the Manchester club following the international break.

Dias may have to be at his best in City’s next fixture, as they face a tricky trip to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to face Jose Mourinho’s side this weekend.

O acerto com Luiz Antônio, de 24 anos e cria das categorias de base do Flamengo, de já era visto como uma certeza desde o dia 1º, quando Rodrigo Fonseca, seu empresário, já cravava a negociação. Ele assinará contrato até o fim do ano com o Leão. Mark González, por sua vez, ficou ainda mais próximo no início do dia, quando seu desligamento da Universidad Catolica foi oficializado e firmou contrato de duas temporadas com o Rubro-Negro pernambucano.

Mark González, de 31 anos, defendia a Universidad Catolica, clube que o revelou, pela segunda vez na carreira. Ele, que é jogador da seleção chilena, ainda soma passagens por Albacete, Real Sociedad e Betis, todos da Espanha, Liverpool e CSKA.

Com Luiz Antônio e Mark González, o Sport já soma seis contratações para esta temporada. This is impressive when you consider that the Greater Manchester club were widely expected to struggle this season, but the signing of Roberts has really added quality to their squad, despite him being just 18-years-old.

The centre-back showed his class in Rochdale’s latest match, earning a 7.26 rating from WhoScored for his display in a 4-0 win against Plymouth Argyle.

Therefore, it is fair to suggest that the Brighton man looks destined for a big future in the Premier League, especially as he has already made three appearances for Graham Potter’s side.

You can understand why the Seagulls manager was keen to keep hold of him, and Roberts could well end up following a similar career path to Ben White, with the 23-year-old having enjoyed loan spells in the lower divisions, before rising to fame with his superb performances at Leeds last season.

If Roberts can continue his excellent form with Rochdale for the rest of the season, his value will only increase further, especially if he can do enough to show Potter that he can be a first-team regular in the Seagulls’ side next season.

Therefore, Marcelo Bielsa may well be frustrated that his director of football Victor Orta was seemingly only willing to bid £800k for the young defender, as it seems likely that he will be worth significantly more than that in the not too distant future.

O volante Walace fez o primeiro do Tricolor, quando o time considerado titular atuava. O zagueiro Bressan e o atacante Batista completaram o placar, quando o time reserva atuava.

O técnico Roger Machado escalou o time considerado titular com duas novidades: o lateral-direito Wesley, destaque do time no Brasileirão Sub-20, e o zagueiro Kadu, que chegou ao clube após ter defendido o Atlético-PR. Mostrando ser boa opção para a temporada, Wesley mostrou serviço logo aos dois minutos. Jogada pela direita e cruzamento para o volante Walace finalizar e abrir o placar.

O primeiro tempo terminou com o Grêmio apostando nas trocas de passes e triangulações sob um forte calor. O time do Sindicato, por sua vez, não deu trabalho. كشفت شبكة “سكاي سبورتس” أن نائب الرئيس التنفيذي لنادي مانشستر يونايتد، إد وودوارد، قد يؤجل قرار رحيله عن الشياطين الحمر الذي كان من المفترض أن يحدث مع نهاية هذا العام 2021.

وأعلن نادي مانشستر يونايتد في أبريل الماضي أن وودوارد سيغادر قلعة “أولد ترافورد” بعد فشل المسابقة الجديدة دوري السوبر الأوروبي.

وأفادت الشبكة أن السبب وراء هذا التغير المفاجئ هو إشراف وودوارد على تعيين مدرب مؤقت جديد ثم دائم بعد إقالة أولي جونار سولشاير.

O Flamengo começa 2016 nesta quinta-feira, em amistoso contra o Ceará, às 21h30 (de Brasília), na Arena Castelão (CE). Apesar de marcar o início da temporada, o jogo já vale uma taça: o Troféu Asa Branca, disputado entre um grande clube convidado, desta vez o Rubro-Negro, e o último campeão da Copa do Nordeste, o Vozão. A partida será transmitida em tempo real pelo L!.

O duelo marca o início de uma sequência de cinco jogos para Flamengo em apenas 14 dias, sendo quatro destes duelos em intervalo de dez dias.
Após o jogo contra o Ceará, o Rubro-Negro encara o Santa Cruz, em novo amistoso, no domingo. Na sequência, o time de Muricy Ramalho enfrenta Atlético-MG, pela Primeira Liga, no dia 27, e Boavista e Macaé, ambos pelo Campeonato Carioca, em 30 de janeiro e 3 de fevereiro, respectivamente.

Apesar das muitas viagens em um curto período, o meia Gabriel está otimista de que o Flamengo será beneficiado por voltar a campo.

– Estávamos só treinando, mas jogador gosta é de jogar. São cinco jogos para iniciar bem o ano. Se ganhar, o time começa com uma confiança grande, a jogada sai melhor. São cinco partidas importantes para a sequência do ano e temos que pensar em vencer todas – disse o jogador, na terça-feira.

Além de conferir a primeira partida do Rubro-Negro na temporada, os torcedores poderão assistir à estreia de jogadores recém-chegados, como o argentino Mancuello. Ele deve entrar no segundo tempo da partida. Dos reforços, Arão, Rodinei e Juan começam jogando.

A victory for the Owls would’ve closed the gap to their nearest relegation rivals but now Tony Pulis’ men remain rock-bottom, seven points off Nottingham Forest, who defeated them 2-0 last night.

Reds left-back Yuri Ribeiro handed the home side an early lead, scoring in the fourth minute before talismanic striker Lewis Grabban came off the bench to seal it three minutes from time.

It means the Yorkshiremen are yet to win under the 62-year-old and have now lost four straight matches.

However, despite all the doom and gloom, there was one shining light and that was the performance of Chey Dunkley, who looks every bit like being Garry Monk’s finest signing.

In just his second appearance for the club, the 28-year-old looked like a leader without the armband. He was certainly demanding more and trying to encourage the team, unlike the real skipper, Barry Bannan.

Indeed, Dunkley was the only Owls player to record a rating above 6.7 with SofaScore grading his display a 7.4, which was only bettered by three Forest players.

He also won four of six aerial duels, made four clearances, four interceptions and two blocks, on top of managing 58 touches from central defence.

Following the match, YorkshireLive’s Dom Howson waxed lyrical about his performance, he said:

“Dominated the majority of his duels and constantly barked out orders to his defence. Is understandably still a little rusty as he continues to build up his match sharpness.”

It was the long-serving ex-captain Tom Lees that badly let the team down in defence on their way to leaking another two strikes, so there is certainly some encouragement to be had in the form of Dunkley.

You can thank Monk for nabbing him from Wigan this summer too.

Supporters on Twitter were also impressed with their £10k-per-week colossus – one said the centre-back was “the only leader at the club” whilst another claimed he “looked solid.”
