The Delhi Giants foiled the Hyderabad Heroes’ attempt to go to the top of the league by clinching a tense one-run victory in Panchkula. Abbas Ali’s half-century helped Delhi set a target of 145 and a tight bowling performance, along with a spate of run-outs, restricted Hyderabad to 143 for 6.The advantage swung repeatedly between the two teams during the course of the match but Hyderabad seemed to have the edge on the final stretch, needing 36 off the last four overs with five wickets in hand. The next two overs from Dale Benkenstein and Ali Murtaza cost only nine runs and Delhi regained lost ground. However, Hyderabad scored 11 off the penultimate over from Shane Bond, reducing the equation to 16 off six balls.The first four deliveries off the final over were fabulous, Benkenstein found the blockhole each time, and Anirudh Singh and Chris Harris managed only singles off them. Needing sixes off the final two balls to win the game, Anirudh stepped out to the fifth, took it on the full, and slammed it over the long-on boundary. Nerves were fraying in the Delhi camp, but Benkenstein kept his cool and bowled the last one into the blockhole. Anirudh couldn’t get under it and ended up edging it past short third man for four.That the match went down to the final ball, however, was due to some mindless running from Hyderabad. They were cruising at 75 for 1, with Abdul Razzaq and Ambati Rayudu in control, when two wickets off consecutive balls in the 12th over changed the course of the game. Rayudu was run out while attempting a risky second run and Razzaq top-edged the next ball to third man.The equation at the end of the 12th over – 70 off 48 balls – suddenly favoured Delhi as Hyderabad had two brand new batsmen at the crease. Hyderabad had a formidable middle-order comprising Justin Kemp, Nicky Boje and Stuart Binny but all three were run out in successive overs, leaving the remaining batsmen with one run too many to chase.The hero of Delhi’s innings earlier in the day was Abbas Ali who held the innings together as wickets fell at the other end. He began batting in the fifth over with Delhi on 30 for 2 and immediately hit Syed Sahabuddin for consecutive fours through cover and to fine leg. His 53 came off 39 balls and included eight boundaries and took Delhi to 126 before he was bowled in the 17th over. The innings lost momentum after that but Delhi’s bowlers and fielders ensured that 144 was enough to pip Hyderabad.

وذكرت شبكة “ذا أثلتيك” الإنجليزية، أنه يتم حاليًا مناقشة الأسباب الجدية لعدم حضور رونالدو إلى التدريبات وتوقيت إبلاغه عن رغبته في الرحيل، والذي وصفه بعض المقربين من النادي بأنه “فظيع”.

ورد أحمد الأمير خبير اللوائح في الفيفا من خلال حسابه الرسمي عبر موقع “تويتر”: “غير صحيح؛ لكي تحتسب فترة إيقاف الدوري لابد أن يكون اللاعب مشاركًا مع المنتخب في الأدوار النهائية لبطولة رسمية، وحاليًا لا توجد بطولة رسمية نشطة تأهل لها المنتخب ويلعب في أدوارها النهائية، لذلك الفترة الفاصلة ما بين نهاية الدوري وبدايته لا تحسب في فترة الإيقاف”.

The MCG will host every international match scheduled in Melbourne until 2019 under the terms of a new agreement between Cricket Victoria and the Melbourne Cricket Club (MCC). The current arrangement was to expire in March 2009 and lengthy talks were required to come to a similar deal for the next decade.Melbourne’s second-largest venue, the Docklands Stadium, was keen to bid for one-day internationals and even thought it had a chance of poaching the Boxing Day Test. Docklands has a retractable roof and held 12 ODIs from 2000 to 2006. But the new agreement has scuppered the plans of the smaller ground, which is primarily an AFL venue.”The MCG is one of world cricket’s premier stadiums,” the Cricket Victoria chairman Geoff Tamblyn said. “Cricket Victoria is delighted to continue its long-standing partnership with MCC and in doing so, provide the best opportunity to invest in the growth of our sport in this state over the next ten years.”The majority of Victoria’s home matches will also continue to be held at the MCG. Sky Sports pundit Kevin Phillips believes that Glasgow Rangers will have to wait until January to find out whether Connor Goldson will put pen to paper on a new contract.

Speaking to Football Insider, Phillips believes that Goldson will wait until the winter transfer window before making a decision on his future at Rangers. The former Sunderland striker said:

“To me, it sounds like he wants to wait until January to see what other clubs will offer him.

“Why would you not have agreed a new deal by now when you have been negotiating for quite a while. It smells a little bit of outside interest.

“Someone is perhaps in his ear telling him to hang fire. I hope that is not the case because I would like to see him stay there.

“But, if a deal has not been struck by now you start to wonder why. The only reason I can think is that people are telling him other clubs will come knocking in January.

“If that is the case I hope it is not false hope they are giving him. We have seen in the past players being tapped up and then not getting a move for whatever reason. Let’s hope that is not the case.

“Ideally his contract gets ironed out and he remains a Rangers player because he is a big player for them.”

The Verdict: Keep him at the club

Phillips is right with that final comment – it is hard to overestimate the importance of Goldson at Ibrox. Already this season, he has played every minute of all nine of Rangers’ matches in all competitions, while WhoScored. While James Tavernier may be club captain, Goldson is an influential leader at the heart of the back four.

Losing him would be bad enough, but to do so on a free transfer would be even worse. Valued at £6.75m by Transfermarkt, he is a huge asset for the Gers, but they face the prospect of failing to recoup a single penny if he departs. Hopefully he decides to stay in Glasgow for the foreseeable future.

Many Liverpool fans have hailed the performance of Fabinho in the Reds’ 3-2 Champions League win over AC Milan on Twitter.

Fabinho played all 90 minutes and put in a solid shift in the middle of the park alongside Jordan Henderson and Naby Keita as the Reds kick-started their European campaign off with a winning start.

Henderson’s brilliant strike from outside the penalty area in the 69th minute was the winner at Anfield after Mohamed Salah had levelled the scoring.

Ante Rebic and Brahin Diaz had put the Italian side ahead in a remarkable few minutes just before half-time, but Jurgen Klopp’s side edged over the line to earn their first win of the competition this term.

Fabinho boasted an 89% pass completion, completing 47 of his 53 passes, and won eight of his 11 ground duels (73%) in a very impressive outing by the Brazilian midfielder.

The 27-year-old also created two chances, succeeded with six of his seven tackles and made four interceptions (thus winning the ball back a total of ten times) as his control in the middle helped Liverpool to victory.

No novo contrato, a empresa Khoddor Soccer, do empresário do jogador, continuaria com 10%.

A diretoria santista acredita que Lucas Lima aceita a extensão do vínculo caso não tenha uma oferta que lhe agrade agora para jogar na Europa. Desde o último sábado, o camisa 10 do Peixe está liberado pra assinar pré-contrato e já recebeu uma sondagem do Barcelona (ESP).

A tendência, caso acerte com uma equipe europeia agora, é que Lucas Lima receba uma quantia como bônus, sem do salário, já que não precisará ser comprado para se transferir.
