كشفت تقارير صحفية أن المدير الفني الفرنسي، زين الدين زيدان، يستعد للانتقال إلى الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز نهاية الموسم الحالي.

وظل زيدان بعيدًا عن الملاعب منذ رحيله عن صفوف ريال مدريد الإسباني، في عام 2021.

ومنذ ذلك الوقت، ارتبط زين الدين زيدان بالعديد من الأندية مثل باريس سان جيرمان، منتخب فرنسا ومنتخب البرازيل، وريال مدريد مرة أخرى.

وذكرت شبكة “tribalfootball” الإنجليزية، نقلًا عن “La Source Parisienne” الفرنسية، أن الدوري الإنجليزي قد يكون الوجهة المقبلة لـ زيدان.

وأوضحت أن زيدان يستعد بشكل جدي لتدريب فريق تشيلسي، في نهاية هذا الموسم، 2022/23.

وأشارت إلى أن هناك محادثات بالفعل بين زيدان ومسؤولي تشيلسي من أجل تلك الخطوة، كما أن الفرنسي يأخذ دروسًا لتعلم اللغة الإنجليزية في الوقت نفسه.

وأفادت بأنه من المثير للاهتمام أن مالك نادي تشيلسي، تود بويلي، كان متواجدًا في العاصمة الفرنسية باريس قبل أسبوعين.

يُذكر أن تشيلسي يحتل حاليًا المركز العاشر في الدوري الإنجليزي برصيد 37 نقطة من 26 مباراة.

But with Surrey unable to maintain their early momentum in pursuit of an always daunting victory target of 305 and Somerset kept at bay for 34 overs by the skill and determination of seventh wicket pair Rory Hamilton-Brown and Gareth Batty, winning proved just out of the question.It went almost all the way, mind. Batty’s dismissal with 11.4 overs remaining rekindled Somerset’s interest – especially as a second new ball was coming into view.But there was to be no shifting Hamilton-Brown – or the loyal Jon Lewis, for that matter – and the visitors finally accepted the inevitable with two deliveries remaining. Surrey finished on 239 for 7, 66 runs away from what would have been a remarkable victory and with their young captain undefeated on 70, having faced 161 balls during an innings that spoke volumes about his growing maturity as a batsman.Hamilton-Brown was the final individual winner of a match full of outstanding performances.For Surrey, fast bowler Stuart Meaker was the star of the show, finishing Somerset’s second innings with the stunning career-best figures of 8 for 52 from 21 high octane and high quality overs. “He’s a phenomenal bowler who keeps doing it for us,” said Hamilton-Brown. “I just hope the England selectors don’t take notice!”They will not be able to avoid Meaker if he keeps bowling as he did here – and, no-one will be more delighted, of course, than Surrey’s captain if and when the call does come.As for Somerset, their first innings batting was just what a team missing injury victim Marcus Trescothick would have wanted with Arul Suppiah and James Hildreth hitting splendid centuries. And, while there was no hundred in this game for Nick Compton, the country’s leading run-scorer again showed his class.Today, though, most eyes were on the visitors’ 19-year-old left-arm spinner George Dockrell. The Dubliner bowled his team to victory on the final afternoon of the season’s opening match, against Middlesex, and he went mighty close to repeating the trick here.Coming onto to bowl immediately after lunch with Surrey going well and only one wicket down, Dockrell quickly settled into a wonderful rhythm. Even better, he soon struck three times in the space of 11 balls to remove Jason Roy, Jacques Rudolph and Zander de Bruyn through a combination of bounce, turn and flight.Suddenly, Somerset were in command. And they stayed that way as Peter Trego won lbw decisions against Tom Maynard and Chris Jordan to leave Surrey tottering at 148 for 6.On and on Dockrell bowled, twirling and toiling his way through 32 overs unchanged. But with Hamilton-Brown and Batty taking root, Somerset could not get the one more wicket they desperately wanted before tea.Thereafter, the cat and mouse began. Dockrell went over the wicket, bowling into the rough outside leg stump, to see whether Surrey would chance their arm, try for victory and do something silly. It was not to be – but the ploy meant that the runs dried up almost completely until a point was reached when Somerset could once again attack with impunity.It almost worked, too, with Dockrell getting rid of Batty with his arm ball. But neither the young spinner nor Vernon Philander could apply the killer blows.Given that Somerset are seriously depleted by injuries, and considering they lost the services of another bowler this afternoon when seamer Craig Meschede hurt his shoulder in holding the catch that removed De Bruyn, the visitors had good reason to feel more than satisfied with their performance here.Dockrell, though, was thinking about what might have been. “I’m a little bit disappointed, to be honest,” he said. “It was a spinning wicket and not to be able to bowl them out is a little disappointing. But as game, it had everything and either side could have won going into the final day.”As for Hamilton-Brown, he felt Surrey “lost the right to win the game on the first day” when they bowled poorly and set Somerset on their way to a first innings total of 512. And the run-chase? “Batting was always going to be tough on the last day and I thought going into it that if we came out with a draw then we would have got out of jail.”

It had been three months since Marcus Trescothick, whose importance to his beloved Somerset cannot be overstated, was able to bat. Whether on account of the extent of what initially appeared a standard injury, or his age, or probably both, his return to the crease had been delayed longer than anticipated. Now, after making 42 for the Second X1 against Essex and stationing himself at first slip, he might well be fit enough to play in his county’s Friends Life t20 quarter-final on Tuesday.Trescothick, the foremost batsman in the county game, will assess the state of his ruptured tendons after one further innings and is likely to make a decision as to his fitness on Tuesday morning. He is, it need hardly be said, “desperate” to play. Brian Rose, Somerset’s director of cricket, who journeyed to Coggeshall to watch him bat, is, of course, equally keen for him to return.”Marcus has done very well, but he is still a little wobbly on his legs,” Rose said. “There is no swelling in his ankles, which is a very good sign. We have another one day fixture against the Essex Second X1 and then aCB40 match on Sunday before the quarter-final. We are still being cautious.”Trescothick himself has another concern about the quarter-final: “The 4.15 start is far from ideal for working spectators, but it has been arranged so two quarter-finals can be screened on the same evening. We are hoping Albie Morkel will be released by South Africa to join his compatriot Richard Levi in our side.”Such selections illustrate how hard it is for young supporters – indeed any supporters – to forge an affinity with their local side, so the return of Trescothick, by name and deed a true Westcountryman, will be especially welcome. He took the wicket of Rikki Clarke on a day of solid run-scoring by the first division leaders.Varun Chopra, who relishes batting at Taunton, progressed to 93, including 17 fours and a fair degree of application. He collected rather than smashed these runs. Jim Troughton batted with no less assiduousness, for the ball swung in the morning under cloud cover and there was some slow turn for Waller in the afternoon. A straight six off Arul Suppiah’s left arm spin was the shot of the day and, come the close, he was undefeated on 132 after five and a half hours batting.Chris Woakes, too, played a substantial innings. His contribution to a stand of 204 in 50.1 overs with Troughton was 107, his century reached off 142 balls with his 17th four, clouted to midwicket off Waller.As to Somerset’s attack, Alfonso Thomas was the pick. In the morning he had Laurie Evans held in the slips through away swing, Chopra caught down the leg side by Craig Kieswetter, who had missed a more difficult chance off a similar leg glance, and Darren Maddy for a duck by movement away from the bat.Waller struggled with his control, but that was inevitable after such a long time out of first-class cricket. His figures in his two previous matches, back in 2009, were 0 for 147 and 1 for 37 in the two innings in which he came on, which would offer one reason why he had not been chosen again before this match.

Should Derbyshire go on to secure promotion for the first time in their history in the next few weeks, they will be grateful to Australia’s selection panel for allowing Usman Khawaja to remain in county cricket. Expected to be included in the A squad for the recent tour of England, he was allowed to continue in Division Two cricket and played a significant role in preventing defeat at Headingley.Having arrived mid-way through the summer as a replacement for New Zealander Martin Guptill, Khawaja had already contributed three half-centuries in five Championship innings to ensure Derbyshire retained a lead at the top of Division Two. His century on the final day against Yorkshire, one of their promotion rivals, may prove to be his most valuable.Having been forced to follow on 152 runs adrift early on the final day, Khawaja was called into action early in their second innings after Tim Bresnan claimed two wickets with the new ball to remove Derbyshire’s openers. He played and missed on several occasions, provoking the fury of Ryan Sidebottom at one stage who was convinced he had edged behind, but battled through that difficult early stage to finish unbeaten on 110 after over four hours at the crease.Between those difficult early stages of his innings and the end of the match, when both sides accepted the draw with 14 overs of the day’s allocation remaining, Khawaja looked like a batsman that could yet forge a Test career. He has slipped behind several other candidates in the pecking order for next summer’s Ashes series after scoring only one half-century in his six Test appearances, but facing England bowlers Bresnan and Sidebottom, he looked a player worthy of another chance.”It means a lot to get runs under pressure like that,” admitted Khawaja, who hit 14 fours and two sixes during his innings. “I didn’t go out there trying to get a hundred, I just went out to knock off the runs and bat out time because they have a good bowling attack and were bowling pretty well.”Sidebottom bowled beautifully. I didn’t think he had that many overs in him, to be honest, but he just kept coming in and bowling. He’s still got it and Bresnan bowled awesome, as he always does. They had a bit of cloud cover and really used it to their advantage. They are a very strong team and I will be surprised if they don’t win a couple of games in the few games that are left.”Derbyshire were helped by Yorkshire missing the one opportunity that did present itself, with Wes Durston being dropped on 20 by Adil Rashid at midwicket after he clipped Bresnan off his legs. It allowed him to help Khawaja extend their third wicket partnership to 90, by which time they had almost wiped out the deficit.Yorkshire’s hopes of victory lifted briefly when Durston fell lbw to Steve Patterson and Dan Redfern edged Sidebottom behind in a three over spell, but Ross Whitely showed great composure to bat for nearly two hours for his 17, taking Derbyshire almost to the close. Khawaja still had time to demonstrate his class, lofting Rashid down the ground for six to bring up three figures with little regard to the tense match situation.”Khawaja played well and dug in and sometimes you have to hold your hands up and praise the guy who plays well,” Andrew Gale, Yorkshire’s frustrated captain, conceded. “I thought he had a bit of luck along the way as well and must have played and missed more times than any of our batters did in our innings, but that can happen.”We had a good start and got them two down and it would have been nice to back that up and get them 50 for 5 because the new ball is always key at Headingley with the wickets we have here. The most frustrating this is we’ve lost 104 overs to the weather and it’s difficult to win at Headingley without four days good weather. The pitches here don’t allow you to win in three days.”Derbyshire’s day had not begun well after resuming their first innings on 233 for 8, still 38 runs away from avoiding the follow on. They got within 11 of making Yorkshire bat again, and effectively making the game safe, when David Wainwright was run out from fine leg attempting a risky second run.Last man Tim Groenewald fell only three away from saving the follow on and when two early wickets fell to Bresnan early in their second innings, Yorkshire seemed set to claim their first Championship win since May. Now trailing Derbyshire, the Division Two leaders, by 21 points having played a game more, they need wins in at least two of their remaining three matches if they are to secure a top two finish and earn promotion.

من جانبه، يريد تين هاج بقاء دي خيا، ويثق في قدرات الحارس الإسباني، ويرى بأنه لا يزال أمامه الكثير ليقدمه لمانشستر يونايتد.
