ويلتقي آرسنال مع نظيره الإنجليزي مانشستر يونايتد، على ملعب “ميتلايف ستاديوم” في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية.

كان آرسنال قد خاض 3 مباريات ودية حتى الآن، حيث تعادل مع واتفورد ونورنبيرج بهدف لمثله في كل لقاء، بينما فاز على نجوم الدوري الأمريكي بخماسية نظيفة.

أما مانشستر يونايتد فقد فاز على ليدز يونايتد بثنائية نظيفة وديًا، قبل أن يكتفي بهدف ضد أولمبيك ليون.

Sobraram emoções e faltou gol no Choque-Rei que abriu as semifinais do Paulistão. São Paulo e Palmeiras não saíram do 0 a 0 neste sábado, no Morumbi, em duelo marcado por várias chances, pontapés, reclamações e por atuação decisiva do VAR ao fazer o árbitro recuar na marcação de um pênalti para o Verdão no primeiro tempo.

Com o resultado do duelo (que foi antecedido pela apresentação de Pato à torcida são-paulina), a disputa segue aberta pela vaga à final. No próximo dia 7, domingo, o Palmeiras receberá o São Paulo, que já será comandado por Cuca, no Allianz Parque, às 16h, no jogo de volta. Quem vencer a partida, estará na final. Em caso de novo empate, a definição acontecerá nos pênaltis.

Pegando fogo!
Muitas chances, rispidez, polêmicas… Não faltou intensidade ao Choque-Rei na etapa inicial. Impetuoso, o São Paulo logo desperdiçou chance com Pablo. Em seguida, o camisa 12 recebeu de Igor Gomes e, ao arriscar, foi travado por Antônio Carlos. Na sobra, Everton Felipe bateu colocado rente à trave. Buscando mais posse de bola, o Palmeiras, aos poucos, trouxe calafrios em chance de Ricardo Goulart e em investidas de Scarpa e Dudu.

Trave abafa gritos de gol
A trave foi um adversário forte para as duas equipes. Mais incisivo em sua reta final, o Verdão viu quando Dudu ajeitou da direita e encheu o pé, mas carimbou a trave de Tiago Volpi. Em seguida, o camisa 7 fez o goleiro são-paulino se desdobrar para evitar tentativa e Deyverson desperdiçou uma oportunidade para o time de Luiz Felipe Scolari. Já o Tricolor paulista, que foi levemente superior, assustou Weverton quando Liziero cruzou a Pablo cabeceou no travessão.

Pênalti… Não, espera!
A polêmica entrou em campo no Morumbi aos 37 minutos. Após Bruno Henrique dar passe de calcanhar, Dudu cair na área em disputa com Reinaldo. Sem titubear, Vinícius Furlan marcou pênalti. No entanto, o árbitro Raphael Claus pediu que o juiz revisse o lance no VAR. Passados quatro minutos de espera, o pênalti foi anulado.

Cadê o ritmo…
A volta do clássico para a etapa final foi promissora. Lançado no lugar de Anderson Martins, Arboleda surgiu em meio à cobrança de escanteio e balançou a rede, mas o gol foi bem anulado por falta em Marcos Rocha. Só que o ritmo do jogo mudou (enquanto as reclamações persistiram e aumentaram as faltas). Além de o São Paulo esbarrar em trocas de passes e ver seu trio de frente perder fôlego, o Palmeiras era cauteloso no ataque.

Batalha, mas nada de gol
Com as alterações, o Tricolor paulista depositou suas fichas em cruzamentos de Nenê, mas a bola não chegava à feição para Pablo e Antony. Na melhor chance são-paulina, o meia avançou na área, mas Edu Dracena evitou que ele chegasse à meta de Weverton. Já o Palmeiras, pecando em contra-ataques, assustou com Bruno Henrique, mas mostrou-se satisfeito com o empate sem gols. No apito final, torcedores no Morumbi reverenciaram a garra são-paulina, no último jogo de Vagner Mancini como técnico interino. A decisão fica para o Allianz Parque.

As declarações de Olim desta segunda-feira são uma clara resposta à entrevista coletiva de Scolari, apontando a suspensão de Moisés (foi punido inicialmente com um jogo, depois com quatro, sob acusação de irregularidade no julgamento, e esteve à disposição por efeito suspensivo dado pelo Superior Tribunal de Justiça Desportiva) como um dos problemas que fazem o Paulista ser alvo de suspeitas.

– Não tenho nada para ouvir deles. Não aguento mais o Palmeiras. Todo dia inventam alguma. Eles sempre precisam arrumar algum Cristo. Ou é a Federação Paulista de Futebol ou o Tribunal – afirmou o presidente do TJD-SP, minimizando as reclamações sobre o julgamento de Moisés.

– O Felipão tem um time que nem precisava colocar esse Moisés. Tem uns 12 Moisés no elenco. Se fosse um time caído e que estivesse vendendo o almoço para comprar o jantar… O Palmeiras é bem maior do que tudo isso – falou, assegurando que quem votou no primeiro julgamento de Moisés não participou do segundo, motivo apontado para irregularidade no caso.

– O relator na hora de colocar no texto não escreveu que os dois (auditores) que foram colocados no Pleno não votaram na primeira vez. O Palmeiras estava lá e viu que eles não votaram – argumentou Olim.

Australia’s cricketers are convinced they will be a far tougher proposition in the Ashes series down under this summer. So too is Jonathan Trott. The usually obdurate and highly consistent Trott put in a strangely mottled showing during the earlier bout in the northern summer, so much so in fact that the Antipodean fast bowlers are convinced they messed with the head of England’s No. 3 and can do so again.Such an assumption may be dangerous however, after Trott completed a period of remedial work on a batting technique that slipped into bad habits during the Ashes, and showed with a century in the opening tour match at the WACA ground that he is on the path toward fixing them. Responding to the declaration of the Australian spearhead Ryan Harris that he had been exposed at times by the brisk short-pitched ball, Trott countered that a sequence of low scores across the series had been more a matter of balance.”People are going to bowl short balls and yorkers and all sorts to try to get you out – I got out to full balls a lot more than short balls,” Trott said in Hobart ahead of England’s encounter with Australia A. “It’s one of the things people’s perception is, and everyone is entitled to their own perception. I know what I’ve got to focus on this series and what I did when we came here three years ago.”Ryan Harris played then, in a pretty similar bowling attack then. I have got good memories of being here but I wouldn’t say I’m particularly worried about anything specifically delivery-wise, it’s more about me getting my game in nick and feeling good.”Trott’s English season provides an instructive study of how technical and mental batting flaws can develop. Then there was the wrongly overturned lbw verdict in Nottingham, a dismissal that clearly still grates.”I got myself out a few times and first Test at Trent Bridge I got a weird review. I’m still scratching my head about that,” Trott said. “I technically had a few flaws which I have hopefully ironed out. Over the course of a summer – we started in February in New Zealand and ended in September – it’s a long time, so a few things probably crept in that I didn’t want to happen. It was to do with balance and it wasn’t what I normally do.”So it was a little bit out, but in an Ashes series you don’t want to tinker too much and be too specific on your cricket because the games come thick and fast. Little things creeping in and a lot of little things create a big thing. I wouldn’t say I had a huge problem, I was thereabouts but I was probably finding my balance and technique wasn’t there, because if you want to go on and get really big hundreds you want to be balanced and have everything in working order. I was getting out in ways I’m not accustomed to because of slight things I wasn’t doing all the time.”Trott carried these foibles through the series, emerging somewhat from his slumber with a pair of handy scores at The Oval before battling again during the ODI series. Those matches were not followed by any active duty for Warwickshire, as Trott enjoyed a break. While he spent some time at rest, Trott returned to the Edgbaston indoor nets with Ashley Giles and devoted time to the balance issues that had allowed the Australians to get at him.He also rationalised the events of summer, content that England had retained the urn and that he had contributed in more ways than runs. If Perth is any indicator, Trott will resume the doughty occupations that so frustrated Australia in 2009 and 2010-11. “If you’re not getting runs it’s not as if you’re looking for answers but you want to know why you’re not getting runs … sometimes there is no answer,” Trott said. “You have to wait your turn, keep working really hard, keep giving to the team and that’s really important.”To look back at the summer and be disappointed would be foolish because we won the series 3-0. Just because I averaged 30 doesn’t make it a huge train smash. I still had some hands in some important partnerships and it was a very exciting and eventful summer. At Perth I felt in better rhythm and hopefully over the next two warm-up games I can get even better.”

Diego Lugano é um fã quase incondicional de Gonzalo Carneiro. Responsável por indicar a contratação do atacante uruguaio ao São Paulo no ano passado, o superintendente de relações institucionais do clube não se cansa de elogiar a força, a explosão e a qualidade técnica do jogador de 23 anos, que ele diz ser cobiçado por diversos clubes grandes do continente. Mas o próprio Lugano vinha percebendo algo diferente nos últimos tempos.

Carneiro não mostrava entusiasmo ao ouvi-lo sugerir que ele treinasse para corrigir deficiências específicas, como o cabeceio, e para fortalecer a musculatura, evitando ficar fora dos jogos a qualquer dor que aparecesse. O ídolo percebia o compatriota até evitando dialogar com ele. Segundo Pablo Bentacur, agente do atacante, essa introspecção fez com que Lugano tentasse convencê-lo a procurar ajuda:

– Lugano me comentou que várias vezes quis ajudar, levando-o a especialistas, mas ele se fechava, não ia, não ia – disse o empresário à rádio uruguaia “Sport 980”.

Toda essa preocupação surgiu meses antes de Gonzalo Carneiro testar positivo em exame antidoping realizado após o jogo contra o Palmeiras na primeira fase do Paulistão. Ele está suspenso preventivamente e a suspeita é de que tenha feito uso de cocaína – algo que seu empresário acredita ter acontecido por engano.

Carneiro não chegou a se consultar com profissionais, mas quem convive com ele acredita que o problema maior seja a depressão, em quadro que teria se iniciado ainda no Defensor (URU), no fim de 2017, quando uma pubalgia o afastou dos gramados.

A última partida dele pelo Defensor foi em novembro de 2017. Contratado pelo São Paulo em abril de 2018 – após ficar muito perto do Grêmio, que desistiu justamente devido ao problema clínico -, só estreou em julho.

– Gonzalo esteve oito meses sem jogar e isso o afetou, o levou a uma profunda depressão, da qual era muito difícil sair. É um menino que fala pouco, introvertido, e uma coisa leva a outra. Hoje estamos tentando dar-lhe uma mão, porque é um bom menino que cometeu um erro. Não quero tocar mais no tema, porque depressão é delicado – disse Bentacur.

O uruguaio fez 15 jogos pelo Tricolor no ano passado, todos com Diego Aguirre. Inclusive, foi titular nas quatro últimas partidas sob o comando do uruguaio, mas sofreu um estiramento na coxa direita e perdeu a reta final da temporada.

Em janeiro, irritou-se por não ter sido acionado na Florida Cup – André Jardine disse que iria utilizá-lo no jogo contra o Ajax e que não o fez devido a um incômodo muscular – e não apareceu na concentração para a estreia no Paulistão, contra o Mirassol. Multado, pediu desculpas à diretoria e ao elenco e logo foi reintegrado para, aos poucos, começar a ganhar espaço no elenco – entrou na semifinal contra o Palmeiras, quando bateu um pênalti de cavadinha, e foi titular na primeira final contra o Corinthians, totalizando nove jogos em 2019.

Ao saber sobre o doping, na semana passada, Cuca chamou o jogador para uma conversa e percebeu que a pressão de jogar no São Paulo e a dificuldade para engrenar mexeram com o emocional dele.

-Eu senti muita insegurança nele em termos de estar em um grande clube e não estar se sentindo totalmente à vontade. São coisas que, às vezes, o jogador não te passa. Ele me falou isso, que poderia estar mais à vontade. Uma coisa puxa a outra. Ele viveu aquele grande momento dele no pênalti que bateu, recuperou a auto-estima, a confiança do torcedor. No outro jogo ele já não foi tão bem, já caiu. Essa insegurança ele passou para mim, uma pena ter falado com ele tão tarde – disse o técnico.

Cuca se sensibilizou com o caso, chegando a se emocionar durante a conversa, e não quer que o São Paulo vire as costas para Gonzalo Carneiro. A diretoria ainda aguarda mais informações sobre o caso de doping para se manifestar e definir o que fazer. No ano passado, após algumas “segundas chances”, o clube optou por rescindir o contrato de Régis, que foi diagnosticado como dependente químico. As informações preliminares dão conta de que não é o caso de Carneiro, que mesmo assim corre risco de levar uma suspensão grande.

O jogador já não apareceu no treino de terça-feira. Ele tem até esta quarta para decidir se deseja a contraprova ou não. Se não solicitar, aceitará o resultado do primeiro exame e irá a julgamento no Tribunal de Justiça Desportiva Antidopagem, em Brasília.

At stumps on the third day, the Redbacks were in a strong position to push for victory with the Bushrangers 128 in front with only two wickets in hand, with Jon Holland on 32 and Scott Boland on 13, and the total on 8 for 353.Victoria batted throughout the day and added 275 to their total for the loss of eight wickets, with the majority of the resistance coming from Finch and Glenn Maxwell. Finch has been in outstanding limited-overs form for some time but has been unable to adapt that to the red ball, and has not scored a first-class hundred since he made 122 for Australia A against Zimbabwe in Harare in July 2011.He was unable to break that drought but reached 97 from 248 deliveries before he was caught off the bowling of Kane Richardson, the fourth Victorian wicket to fall. Maxwell scored much quicker and his 82 came from 121 deliveries with ten boundaries before he was bowled by Gary Putland, who picked up 3 for 93.

But there was another slump in the post-lunch session when Gopal got one to straighten and rap Manan’s pad in front of the wicket.Gambhir was finally out off the 111th ball he faced, poking at a wide delivery from Sharath and edging to Mayank Agarwal, who caught it after a fumble at first slip.
